TONY THOMSON

OWNER/TRAINER/CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Hi, to anyone that doesn’t know me I’m Tony, one of the longest standing personal trainers in Te Awamutu I guess you could say. (Yes, I’m old!) Before owning the gym alongside my wife Haidee, which we have owned for the past 19 years, I was also a trainer here and at other clubs in the area for a little over 6+ years. Previous to that I was in the NZ Army. I have always thrived on being active, through playing league and rugby as a youngster to then going on to cycling and then on to mountain biking which I still love to do just as much today as when I started, just more of the kid friendly tracks these days with my kids in tow.

My true passion for this industry is to be healthy, to live your best life each day, we only get one body, so we need to look after it. So, whether that be through a high intensity class, a run or a weights session, or a recovery stretch session, we need to find something we enjoy which makes us feel good and combine that with good nutrition and find that perfect balance to live a healthy lifestyle.  PH 021466738

LEAH ATTWOOD

TRAINER/CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Fitness is a lifestyle.  I believe that being able to move your body is a privilege and we shouldn't take that for granted.  

From always having an interest in science and learning how the human body works, I found my passion in fitness.  I have been immersed in the fitness industry for the past two years.  I'm familiar with group training and I love to coach group sessions; HIIT, Hybrid and Resistance.  I also enjoy helping individuals reach and exceed their goals and discover what works for them.

With a few courses about preventing injuries through exercise, I'm always learning more and equipping myself with the correct knowledge and skills to help you move better.  I am a hybrid trainer myself.  I'm passionate about all sorts of HIIT sessions, weights, and running.  This type of training has led me to pursue and enjoy HYROX as well as other competitions.

I thrive off sharing my love of fitness and self care with others as I genuinely love seeing people transform their lives through commitment and hard work. I am here to give you the knowledge, tools and support you need to live a healthier lifestyle.

I have been in the fitness industry for over 6 years now working as a personal trainer and DEFINED FITNESS group fitness instructor. I am all about feeling strong and empowered. I enjoy a variety of strength, flexibility, cardio, and HIIT training. Let’s make your health and fitness goals a priority & a reality today!
